Scott is the deputy editor of Desert Companion magazine in Las Vegas. He’s also edited four volumes in the Las Vegas Writes series: Fade, Sag, Crumble: Ten Las Vegas Writers Confront Decay; Wish You Were Here: Stories and Essays Based on Fabulous Las Vegas PostcardsGetting Better All the Time: Las Vegas Writers Explore Progress; and Lost and Found in Las Vegas. He has also written extensively for his Facebook notes page, and contributes frequently to Vegas magazine. He lives in Henderson, Nevada, in a houseful of people and animals. He reads as much as he can, which, given the implications of the previous sentence, obviously isn’t nearly enough.

Geoff Schumacher

Geoff is the director of content for the Mob Museum in Las Vegas. He previously spent 25 years in the newspaper game in Las Vegas and Ames, Iowa. He has written two books, Howard Hughes: Power, Paranoia & Palace Intrigue (2008) and Sun, Sin & Suburbia: An Essential History of Modern Las Vegas (2004). A revised and expanded trade paperback edition of the latter was released in 2012. He also served as editor of Nevada: 150 Years in the Silver State (2014), the official book commemorating the state’s sesquicentennial. He was the founding editor of the Las Vegas Writes book project series.
